Grizzli PRO was designed out of necessity.
Working at one of the most prestigious golf clubs in New Zealand – and the world – I kept seeing the same thing over and over again. Golfers coming in with tight shoulders, aching hips, cramping calves and tired lower backs after twisting into powerful swings and walking an undulating world-class course.
Many of them were going straight from the office to trying to play at their peak. Their bodies were letting them know they needed more support – especially around recovery.
At the time, I had already created a topical magnesium spray under my other brand, Ocean Gypsy. I started quietly handing it out to a few golfers so they could try it after their round.
The feedback was immediate and enthusiastic.
They loved how:
- easy it was to spray directly where they felt tight or uncomfortable
- quickly it absorbed
- and how supported their muscles felt during the next round
More than a few called it a “game changer.”
From Grumpy Golfer to Grizzli Pro
What started as a way to help a few sore, frustrated players soon became part of the club’s behind-the-scenes toolkit.
There was a running joke about “Grumpy Golfers” arriving in pain and leaving feeling more like “Grizzli Golfers” – stronger, looser, ready to get back out there.
From those conversations, the name evolved:
Grumpy Golfer → Grizzli Golfer → Grizzli PRO.
Grizzli PRO was born out of real golfers on a real course, needing simple, targeted support they could use before, during and after play.
